Truli's Insights

Truli recently received an assignment in her language arts class. Her instructions were: Write a poem. Use words or phrases that talk about your five senses. Here is what she came up with, complete with the artwork she did to go along with it.

I realize that I am her mother and will always be prejudiced, but I think she did a great job. I was almost teary eyed when I read it the first time. It made me realize how she views God. She knows he will comfort her and take care of her (pat her on the head). She knows that God will hear her when she speaks even if it is only in a whisper. Such insight for a little girl. I don't think I will ever look up at the night sky and not think of her poem. Thank you Truli.

When I saw this poem on the refrigerator the other day, I too was impressed. I'm not as bias as mom, but I do think it is a deep poem for a girl her age. It is so great that she has been able to experience God this way,and you Lori are a vehicle for her to do that....so keep up the good work. Love ya, your other sister
